Manifestasi Kehadiran Allah melalui Konseling Pastoral di Media Radio

Abstract

This study explores the concept of the theology of voice as a manifestation of God's presence through pastoral counseling on radio broadcasting media, responding to the dominance of visual culture in contemporary theology. Using a qualitative literature review and a practical theological approach, this study synthesizes historical church documents on media, the philosophy of acoustemology, and empirical findings on remote counseling. The analysis reveals that the radio medium facilitates an acoustic theophany, where the counselor's voice intonation and the "voice of silence" function as channels of divine empathy that echo the grace of healing. This auditory accompaniment practice proves to be highly strategic and crucial in creating a public safe space without face-to-face interaction for victims of domestic violence, as well as addressing the anxiety crisis and existential paradox experienced by Generation Z amidst the visual fatigue of the digital era. It is concluded that radio pastoral counseling is not merely the transmission of secular psychological information but a sacramental act that transcends physical spatial boundaries, thus demanding theological education institutions to immediately integrate clinical broadcasting competencies into their curricula.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi konsep Teologi Suara sebagai manifestasi kehadiran Allah melalui bimbingan pastoral di media penyiaran radio, yang merespons dominasi budaya visual dalam teologi kontemporer. Melalui metode kualitatif berupa studi kepustakaan dan pendekatan teologi praktis, kajian ini menyintesis dokumen historis gereja terkait media, filsafat akustemologi, serta temuan empiris mengenai konseling jarak jauh. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa medium radio memfasilitasi teofani akustik, di mana intonasi suara dan "suara keheningan" (the voice of silence) dari konselor berfungsi sebagai saluran empati ilahi yang menggemakan anugerah pemulihan. Praktik pendampingan secara auditori ini terbukti sangat strategis dan krusial dalam menciptakan ruang aman (safe space) publik tanpa tatap muka bagi korban Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT), serta menjawab krisis kecemasan dan paradoks eksistensial yang dialami Gen Z di tengah kelelahan visual pada era digital. Disimpulkan bahwa konseling pastoral via radio bukanlah sekadar transmisi informasi psikologis sekuler, melainkan tindakan sakramental yang melampaui batasan ruang fisik, sehingga menuntut institusi pendidikan teologis untuk segera mengintegrasikan kompetensi klinis dalam penyiaran ke dalam kurikulum mereka.
